Chair: Brooke Wodziak

Brooke Wodziak is a strategic leader with extensive experience in organizational transformation, education strategy, and cross-sector collaboration. She currently serves as the Director of the Education Project Management Office & Planning Services at Mayo Clinic, where she leads enterprise-level planning and execution across multiple schools and national initiatives. Brooke specializes in connecting strategy to action, guiding complex portfolios involving workforce development, technology modernization, and operational excellence. She is recognized for her ability to align people, systems, and processes to drive measurable impact in mission-driven environments. Passionate about youth empowerment and access, Brooke brings her strategic and leadership expertise to the Youth in Law Supervisory Board.
Vice Chair: Tran Nguyen

Tran Nguyen (Jun Winn) is the managing attorney with the Minnesota Board of Public Defense serving Olmsted County. She previously worked as the Deputy City Attorney for the Criminal Division in the Rochester City Attorney’s Office and as an assistant public defender in the Third Judicial District. Tran is deeply involved in community service, partnering with Youth in Law and serving on the boards of the Rochester Police Activities League and the Olmsted County Bar Association. Her career reflects a strong commitment to public service, mentorship, and equitable access to justice. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her partner, son, and beloved dog, Koda.
Board Member: Mike Schatz

Michael Schatz is an attorney in Rochester, MN, with over 15 years of legal experience. He owns and operates his own law firm, where he focuses on private criminal defense while also serving indigent clients as a contract attorney with the Public Defender’s Office. His practice spans additional areas including child protection, personal injury, and workers’ compensation. Michael is dedicated to ensuring that all clients receive strong, ethical advocacy regardless of their circumstances. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, going to soccer with his son, and playing rugby.
